    Default Thanks

Thank you for all of your thoughts and help i am at the moment searching the forums and looking for all the tips i can get on my newly found hobbie, I decided to get a razor off Classicshaving and then get it sent to Lynn or someone for a bit of Honing.
I have looked at this one and just wondered if anyone else has used one

DOVO Genuine Ebony, SS 5/8 on Classicshaving ($99)

I am basically looking for a black handled straight that looks and shaves great, do not want to pay anymore than £150 or $300 i think ??

I don't think you will be disappointed with that razor honed by Lynn.

I'm pretty new at this as well, so take this with a grain of salt.

If you have a heavy beard and/or thick whiskers, you might want to go to a 6/8.

I've only been at this for a week, but I have a very heavy beard with tough hair and already know that a heavier razor is going to work better for me - doesn't mean I can't shave with a 5/8, just that I'll be happier with a larger razor.

(Don't worry folks, I'm going to wait until at least next week before moving up to an 8/8 )
