Thanked: 0New to it all, saying Hi!
Just wanted to say hi to everyone!
I'm 100% new to the whole idea of straight razor shaving but it has brought about a great amount of interest.
I don't have too much facial hair (FuManchu layout but clean shaven) but what drew me the most to straight razoring was the rare and unique skill set required to use such a tool along with how intricate the process is!
Being a person who always looks for a new learning experience, this is something that I've never been exposed to before.
I'm sure there will be much more for me to pick up as time passes but as of 2 days ago, I placed an order off ClassicShaving.com for Lynn Abram's DVD and plan on picking up up the starter kit from Tony Miller (we've been corresponding via email but it'd probably be better for me to search on this forum than to keep a busy man at his computer )
Anyways, hopefully this isn't too long to sift thru, I look forward to learning lots!

Welcome aboard. You seem to have the right learning attitude on top of making great starter purchases. Using the dvd to pick Lynn's brains will pay HUGE dividends and Tony's products and service are amazing. I'll suggest getting a cheap e-bay razor to practice your honing on in case you decide to also pick up a hone. The help files and the forums will also be of huge help. Enjoy!
