LOL, and not at you, but me! I think I'm about as anxious about this as you are. I guess it's because I have 17 and 14 year old grandsons that I want to pass my razors and hones, and expertise on to, but really don't get the chance too. I don't think you'll have a problem with razor burn, but be very careful of using a steep angle with razor. Start almost flat with the angle of the blade to the face and work up to a steeper angle as needed. Doesn't work well to start with a steep angle and trying to work down because you will cut yourself!! Keep us posted!!

A truly flat angle will do nothing for you. 5-10 degrees is about right for beginners.
And if all else fails, try a 90 degree angle! :tameshigiri:
