Thanked: 0Just brought a new straight razor
Just brought this blade 'Razolution Black handle 5/8 solingen blade' with leather strop and NOMAD shaving soap and a badger hair brush. Have I done a bad thing ? or am I about to experience the best way to shaving ever. Any help or advice on these purchases and any tips would be greatly appreciated.
Great forum by the way

I have not heard much about Razolution straights. They are made and marketed by Simbatec, in Solingen. They also market
optic's, co2 hand guns, knives and other items. I believe they market strops made by other manufacturers but am not certain. The do manufacture some wicked knives. Looking through their straight razors there seems to be a couple of
generic sized blades with many different scales available.
I wish you luck with your purchase and hope you will keep us up to speed on how you think you did with your purchase.
With as many members as we have on SRP I hope several members may have hands on experience with these razors.

The real answer to your question will be dependent on where the actual razor is made. If it truly is Solingen then you should be OK. if not, well you know.

That's different. It's a horizontal stabilizer.
