Thanked: 3228Funny thing, I don't recall ever having an ingrown hair using double bladed disposable razors. I don't doubt that it happens but I wonder if there is more to it than just the type razor.

Find an antique store and pick up a DE... Walmart has blades. And cheap brush and soap kits.

Great advice right there, you should definitely invest in either a DE or SE for use on vacations. Since I added a DE to my line-up, I have not dared nor will I ever go back to a cartridge razor. And if you don't find a DE or SE in an antique shop soon, you can always buy from the vendors here or the classifieds. Good luck

Thanked: 23I agree with the DE or SE crowd I know it probably won't help you much this trip but you can go with it on the next, it is the best thing I have found for vacations.

Thanked: 983I get in-grown hairs with anything and everything, including DE's, but none with a (normal) Cut-Throat razor. I still haven't heard any definitive theory on why I have a longer lasting shave and no in-grown hairs with a normal razor, but get a crappy shave (except with the DE) with everything else. A DE gives nearly as good a shave but gives me in-growns every so often. Cartridge razors give me in-growns every shave.

Thanked: 3228Well, no matter what the cause actually is you have to use what works for you personally. Just glad I don't have any restrictions on what type of razor I can use.
