Thanked: 20First shave with high quality soap - why didn't I do this earlier!?
I was going to post in the thread about using Tabac, but I didn't want to hijack that thread. Similar train of thought though. So I've been using William's mug soap for the past three months or so, and I could get a decent lather, but I felt like that was the one thing that was really holding me back. So I tried out Trumper's Sandalwood for the first time today, and... it was amazing!!! The lather was thick, real thick, and clung to my face amazingly. The shave was sooo much smoother. I could have used a little more water in the lather, but for a first go with a new soap, I think I did pretty decently. Needless to say, I'll be sticking with the Trumper's for a while. I may even buy the soap sample set from Straight Razor Designs and see which I like best.
Just wanted to share the good news/breakthrough!! As many of you say, it just keeps getting better!!

The Tabac made a HUGE difference for me this morning, too! Could be because my technique sucks. LOL
But if that's the case, so be it. The Tabac helped!

Thanked: 20Good call Bob. I'm definitely going to keep it. Sometime in the future, I plan on mastering the Williams. What a difference good soaps make though, total mind blow!
