    Talking Would this Old razor serve me well?

    Hey guys, I'm new round here, bought a Shavette a while ago and that was much better than the modern disposables.. I'm looking to take the step over to my first straight razor.

    I can buy this George Wostenholm & Son IXL Razor for $90 Do you think it's worth it?

    Welcome to SRP.

    Wostenholms are great shavers. Assuming that this one isn't shave-ready, from the pics it looks like hone wear is minimal and is in good shape so there shouldn't be any problems putting a shaving edge on it. If it isn't shave ready you can always send it out to one of our honemeisters. As well, there are SRP members all over the place so someone should be able to help you out. As for the money, as roughkype stated we don't do valuations here, so if it's worth it to you go for it
