We need more junk shops in east tx so I can stock up on old razors....

Edit: Ok so I opened the box and no stones. I thought it looked a little small at the time. Instead it was the two dovos I sent in for a hone last week! Now I've got two razors just honed by Lynn to compare against (and enjoy)!
    Ken,

(my name is Ken also BTW).

I think I am riding on your heals. I am pretty close to pulling the trigger on a Norton 4/8 and a Nani 12K. I have been looking into Thuringians also however....

That hook is buried deep in me and there seems to be no chance of me shaking it.

I'd recommend a 1k for bevels too. I've done it on my Sheffield with the 4k, but it takes so much longer you're really tempted to cut the bevel setting short or put more pressure

I have a full set of DMTs for setting bevels. I would hope that after the Norton 4/8 and a finisher the harshness of the diamond honing will be removed entirely...
