Thanked: 0Blade needs honing.
Through poor stropping skills, my blade no longer feels like it as sharp as it used to. It feels like it is tugging a lot when I make a pass. I was wondering if there is anybody in the lower mainland of British Columbia that is a honemeister, or know where I could get my blade honed? And help would be appreciated.

Have a look in the Classifieds under Members Services or the WIKI under Local Help (I think).
Hopefully someone there will set you rightHang on and enjoy the ride...

Thanked: 154Use the linen/canvas strap and carefully strop some more; it'll get sharp.

You could always try a couple laps on some news paper laid on a flat surface and then move to the linen and leather. I dulled my edge from poor stropping as well and this helped to bring it back. I started with 5 laps on the news paper then did my normal routine on the linen and leather. It worked but went back for another 5 on the news paper and my edge is feeling fine again.
