Thanked: 0The First shave/Arival of the goods
So My stuff came in the mail today, which made me quite pleased, I couldnt have asked for a better day for them to come than a day I have off and have nothing to do. So I began the treck into town to pick up the parcel from the post office. Upon my arrival I paid my customs, stupid customs, and got back in my truck and sped home to shower. After showering I got ready and I shaved for the first time not only with the straight razor but the first time for 4 days. Looking back it was perhaps not the best idea to start off with such heavy growth but none the less I shaved my full face with no cuts or nics.
I have to say it was rather enjoyable, a pretty steap learning curve and the left hand is going to take some getting use to but I rather enjoyed it and can confidently say that im going to keep it up!
At the request for pictures I added this cause its all I have got hahaLast edited by Thunderhorse; 08-14-2012 at 10:07 PM.

Thanked: 57I hope that you had that Dovo professionally honed before you used it... otherwise... ouch! New Dovo's come with a horrible edge... quite an emabarrasment for Dovo actually. Look at the edge under magnification and you'll see what I mean. But once properly honed, Dovo's make excellent razors in spite of all the bad press that they get here. I bought 3 and I love them.

Very nice! I think you'll find that the left hand learns rather quickly. I was worried about it when I first shaved, but by the end of the first week my left hand knew pretty well what to do. Now it is as good as my right.

Thanked: 0it was professionally honed by lynn yes
It has made it through its first full face shave, first strop and second full face shave, still no cuts, a little tug but I think thats me getting use to the angles and the such! My girlfriend already likes the smoother feel! lol Im liking this razor without a doubt!Life can only be understood in reverse, but must be lived forwards
