As the size of the wet shaving bunch grows, such articles are more common. Here's one from this morning.

Interesting...I saw the EXACT same article (verbatim) posted elsewhere.

It is/was well written, but the re-use of the article sort of kills the mood for me....
Ahh, if you click the link at the bottom you get the original (non-commercialized version, with the original photos).

I take it this blogger is a plagarist. Are there legal penalaties for such?

Given all of that, it is still a nice read and something potential users could share with the SWMBO or HWMBO. I will send this to my daughter-in-law as she is always seeking ways to cut my son's spending habits. Changes to her spending habits are of course verboten.

Not plagiarism. It appears he sold his post for syndication.

Opinions vary, I just value a blog more if it's not for profit....money has a way of clouding the sharing of honest opinions.

Yeah, I used to be (and am getting back into) very active at generating content (Blog and Youtube). I was talked into monetizing once, and it lasted about a week and I switched back to non-profit. There is something really pure about doing things for the enjoyment ONLY.

And something really ugly about getting paid to tell your story (that generally contains direct or indirect advice of some sort)

I find if I get paid to do something it just becomes a job and takes all the fun/enjoyment out of it.

Academia, of course, are the original "bloggers", just in a different medium and, arguably in some cases I admit, of a more rigorous and original nature. At least with bloggers you know if they are monetized or not. Academics like to think they are objective and uninfluenced by monetary matters, but you only have to look at the fight for funding and the manic need to publish research to realise they are in up to their eyeballs, even if they don't admit it. But I digress....

    Publish or perish

That is why I left the pursuit.
