Default Well, it happened - a big cut

I was shaving with the straight yesterday, going across the grain on the right cheek with the left hand.

Then the cat jumped up on the sink. I didn't even know he was awake yet. He startled me just as I was touching down on my cheek.

So now I've got a big scratch on my right side, damn thing's about 2 inches long. Hopefully it won't leave me with some kind of German dueling scar, ein schmiss am gesicht. But for a few days, at least, I'll look like I was late on payments to my loan shark.

Still, I'm not about to give it up.

    The cat's 2 inches long? That's a small cat.

Sorry to hear about your mishap. unexpected distractions like that are the main reasons I keep the bathroom door closed while shaving. Getting startled once was enough for me.

I think we need photos to verify the reality of this claim.

I think you should have shaved the cat just to teach the damn thing a lesson about jumping up onto the sink on shave days.

I restored a nice old strop a few months ago and left it laying across the top of my night stand. Our cat jumped up on the night stand, slipped on the strop, and jumped off, leaving a gouge in the strop that was too deep to even out. This was, of course, my own fault for leaving it out. Lesson learned.

That cat is obviously trying to kill you, cats are smarther than most people realize and some of them are very sinister.

Where is ALF when you need him? Just kidding. I like cats except for that evil one belonging to my daughter-in-law.
