Default Some new techniques I learned

I visited again with one of the Seniors on SRP, Pink Lather. On this visit I received invaluable feedback about some of the techniques I was using during my shave. Here they are:

Problem - I have trouble shaving my jaw line and couldn't get a good angle to shave ATG.

Solution - I learned that just because the skin on my face resides on my jaw lined doesn't mean I can't stretch or move that skin up towards my cheek giving me a solid flat surface to shave.

Problem - getting a good hold or stretch on my skin to provide a good shaving stroke

Solution - rub fingers on an alum block and it gives traction to fingers.....even on a wet face.....amazing. (I just ordered and received my alum blocks.)

Just a couple quick tips I received and found very helpful to get that BBS all over my face.

    Thanks again Pink Lather.

P.S. All us beginners should seek out help and mentoring from anyone local you can interface with. I feel you will find that reading about shaving is one thing but to do it live with help and mentoring makes my shaves so much more enjoyable!!!!!

It is getting harder to find people with straight razor knowledge.
Recently bought a straight razor from a women on eBay. Sent her a note telling her how nice it shaved. She sent one back saying that she didn't know that people still used them; she was selling it as an antique!
