Default Verifying the age of a J.A. Henckles- Zwillingwerk

I first off want to apologize if this is the wrong section.
My name is Evan and I am new to the site and to the world of straight shaving and straight razors.
However I have my eye what is reported to be a J.A. Henckles- Zwillingwerk circa 1890 on ebay. I asked the owner how he knows the age and replied that he matched the blade up with a photo in a catalog. Now I have no reason not to trust him however I wanted the opinions of people who are more enlightened than I on the matter. Here are some pictures. If it is in fact legit what should my max bid be?

Sorry, we don't do valuations on razors. Maybe someone will come along who can help you with dating the razor though.

    Thank you.

The date caught me. I just think it would be neat owning something from 1890.
From what I have read on the site over the past few days Henckles are a good brand and good razor. As for the price I am not too worried about it.
    Thanks for your time

Welcome to SRP. Lesson one in posting about ebay razors on SRP ...... Never post until you have the razor in your hand. If you post about it before the auction has ended other straight razor fiends will see it that might have missed it otherwise. IMHO it is already reached a price I personally wouldn't go beyond. If you go to the classifieds here on SRP you'll find some bargains occasionally.

If you intend to pursue shaving with straight razors check out the SRP library. The beginner's guide to get you started on the right foot. Also note 'razors to avoid'. There are some that are razors in name only.

    Thanks Jimmy.

I have contacted some sellers here and am waiting for some replies. Thank you for the info on posting after purchasing an item. Your insight is much appreciated.
