    Default razor opinion, please

i've been studying and reading and lurking for a while now, and i think that i'm about ready to take the step and purchase my first straight. for whatever reason, this razor (Thiers-Issard Sheffield Silver Steel, Tortoise, 5/8) has caught my fancy and i find myself coming back to it again and again.

i know that i will have to send it off to one of the honemeisters before it's actually ready to be used, but what are people's opinion of this particular razor otherwise?

    thanks in advance.

These are very nice shavers. Can't go wrong with one.

TI makes great shavers but there have been complaints about the way they put together their scales.

Go ahead and get it it will give you a great shave and if the scales are not pinned straight so what, its hand made. It won't affect the functionality.

    Default nice choice

Same razor I bought from classic, excellent shaver.
The one I purchased wasnt shave ready out of the box, but it took very little effort to get it there. They do have a hand made fit and finish but they are beautiful and the steel holds a great edge.
