Well, we could say we told you so but we won't.

However, you learned the hard way how to wean yourself to straight shaving when you first start out. It just takes time to get facility with the blade.

Just remember what Confucius say: Man with sharp razor and dull skills wind up with red badge of courage and much regret.
No matter how many men you kill you can't kill your successor-Emperor Nero

    1. Anyone here that claims to have never sustained a nick (especially in your stage of the ball game) is a liar.
    2. Styptic pencils are cheap.
    3. Every nick is a lesson in technique.
    4. It's only a flesh wound (Monty Python Rocks!)
    5. Chicks dig scars.

If it's any consolation, in my early days I often went to work looking like I'd fought with a racoon in a dumpster over a Big Mac. Hang in there Brother, it gets better.
The older I get, the better I was

Antibiotic and let it heal. Take it as a sign that you should try growing a goatee. Then when its healed if you don't like the goatee shave it.
Shaving with facial hair is like a golfcourse. It's a challenge of rough and fairways. You are the skilled greenskeeper of your face?

I stuck with the sides for about a month, then moved to sides and neck for another month, then the whole face WTG for another month. It is a long time for each, but I began to feel very comfortable with me technique after that time, and my skill really developed well.

Agree! And if each nick is a lesson, I ought to have my PhD by now!
