Last night towards the end of a great shave, I barely dinged the toe of my blade... Im so careful about this but yet I was stupid. I shook my razor for a second which I never do. I hit the rim of the sink.

I didn't notice anything right away so I thought I hit the spine instead of the edge. My shave was fine too. Luckily I never hit that exact spot the rest of the shave. After I cleaned up and was going to strop my razor for 10 laps like I usually do, I noticed that it made a line on the leather... Nothing damaging thank God.

After looking at the edge again more closely I could see it. But it's so small... Can that be honed out? I feel so bad because rodb, the guy that I bought both my razors from, had just rehoned this one and it was excellent. I feel horrible.

What a way to ruin my weekend. Thank goodness I have a second razor I bought from him too. Both are used and were inexpensive. But I still like them a lot. Hopefully someone can fix it. I read it can be honed out. I already contacted rodb and LegalBeagle. Legal actually lives close to me, and even works in the same area LOL.

From now on, I'm holding the razor with the spine facing the tap. Another learning experience I guess...
