Thanked: 5My shaving den is very small so I use small hand towels for shaving routine. I use from 2 to 4 in one shave:
1st To prepare face and then I fold it and put on the sink to wipe
2nd To clean and re-warm the face between the passes
3rd is dry and I hang it on my shoulder to wipe the fingers to stretch the skin
4th goes in game if I loose any of previous.
Wife is not very lucky about it but still love my STR8 shaves 8-)

Thanked: 5If it is big enough it can be also problem of visible control. I mean if something distracting appears in your visible range - big fold of towel, long hanging end of the towel, bright color thing - your mind marks it like obstacle and command your body to avoid it.
So your movement ability will be confined and your shave will be uncomfortable.

Very interesting point. That's definitely not an issue for me though. My towels are white or a dark brown anyways.
