It's great stuff and I learned a lot, unfortunately quality is pretty bad (VHS tape) :-(

This is the one that helped me the most. Over time, my style evolved into a three-pass shave that is with the grain, across the grain, and against the grain. I do some things like him, other things I found a better way for me personally.

A couple of other points. First, I use a sponge like the man in the video to wipe the lather off my blade. It distracts me to stop and rinse the lather off the blade with tap water. Second, my agility improved over time so if you can't do some of the things demonstrated at first don't be discouraged.

Chances are that when you master straight shaving, your technique will be a little different than anyone else's.

Those were some nice blades he had in that video. I thought it wasn't good to strop after a shave?
