If a knife guy is a razor guy, then I agree & they know the difference. However, if they don't know straight razors, then it's an unfair advantage. There is typically an exception to every rule, but the rule became a rule for a reason.

I'm a knife guy myself, sure did learn a LOT when I became a razor guy. I make more knives than razors...but that's another story...but I use the same steels so that if a knife guy buys one of my knives and wants to maintain a true razors edge...he can if he has the tools and skill.
