Thread: Just finished my first shave.

My Parker Shavette, Col. Conks soap and Tweezerman's badger brush came in the mail today. I just finished my first shave (WTG XTG only). I knew it wouldn't be easy, but I admit it was tricker than I though, especially under the chin and around the mouth on the left side using my left hand. I nicked myself pretty good on my right cheek, and about 3 little blood spots, but that will dissipate with time. Getting a good lather and finding the balance of water and cream was, for me, the most challenging part. Anyway, I'm ranting.

My point is, I'm hooked. It was... therapeutic... fulfilling. You bastards have created a monster. I haven't enjoyed something so much in a long while. I can't wait for tomorrow's shave... a phenomena I never would have thought possible in the past.

Your next problem will be that you will NEED to buy at least 20 vintage straight razors and clean them up and then buy a set of hones and a new strop and some better shaving cream and a good brush... Welcome to the insanity (and fun)!
