    Default My first major nick

Been shaving for about 6 months now with much success. Just honed the blade up a few days ago and was rushing during my XTG strokes. Ended up taking a dime size "flap" of skin off my cheek. Hit it with a styptic pencil and the bleeding stopped right away, but now it doesn't seem to be healing. Will this be permanent? I am thinking I should have just let it bleed.

At least I know my blade was sharp...

Less than 10 stitches doesn't count.
Seriously, if it was that big, use super glue.

Wow that really bites! As for to stop the bleed, or to not have... stopping the bleed was a good idea.

I have always found that you either keep a cut like that wet or dry. If you want to keep it wet, then showering isn't a problem, but you'll need a band aid with some kind of lotion during the day. To keep it dry is the reverse. Wet works best for me.

Sorry to hear it! Hope you heal soon!

    Welcome to SRP!
