Thread: hello all

admins/ moderators i sent an email through the site several days ago. i wanted to make sure the screen name i chose was within the site's written or unwritten rules. i have not heard back so i decided to join and just see what happens. i did not mean to disrespect anyone but with no response i had to do something. if there is a problem with my screenname please let me know and we can change it.

hello everyone. i hate being the new guy anywhere even on internet forums. i am making this my first step to getting into straight razor shaving. i kind of got interested in straight razors when i was in my late teens. thought it would be great to go to the barber i was going to and be like the older guys. but knowing a face filled with zits is not good for most shaving let alone with a straight razor. in fact it took me several years before i was ready to use a disposable type razor.

now that i am not as blemished as that pimpled faced youngster i find my interest in learning to use a straight razor growing. i look forward to learning from all of you and posting about my experiences with shaving.

actually it is a nickname given to me 11 years ago by my than 2 year old nephews. at that age they called passing gas pooping. well i had a particularly gassy day and out of nowhere i was uncle poop. very few people call me by my actual name anymore. to the point where sometimes someone can be calling for me and i ignore it because i am used to being called uncle poop.
