Thanked: 0Supplies in Bucks County, PA?
Hi, I've been doing some reading and would like to finally start purchasing supplies for my first shave. Does anyone know of any reputable places in the Bucks County area where I could do so? Also, if there are any users on here that reside in bucksI would definitely consider buying some used goods. Please let me know and thanks in advance.

Thanked: 1There is not much in the area to be honest there is a the art of shaving in the king of Prussia mall but from talks with users they are overpriced from what I am told. If you feel like waiting a little bit go to the whipped dog and email Larry andreasson he normally has some pretty good deals on beginner shave sets. Outside of that I am a newbie as well in the Montgomery county area and the only places I have seen straight razors and DE's is flea markets. Give me a shout if you have any other questions and welcome to the addiction

I live in Ambler, and there is not much for SR shavers in the area. Thank goodness for internet shopping.
Zomax (ebay/SRP handle) is in Blue Bell and does nice restorations.
Was there ever a meetup/convention in the Philly area??

Thanked: 0We should organize a meetup. I live not far from King of Prussia, but originally from Bensalem. I would agree...not much in the area....go with one of the great online retailers that advertise here. Art of Shaving has some nice stuff but it is a bit overpriced, especially considering they stamp their own name on most of the otherwise beautiful razors they sell.

Thanked: 0Thanks for the advice. I checked out whippeddog.com and it seems like it might be the place to go. Where would we post to organize a meet? If you guys decide to have one, I would definitely be interested in coming out and learning.

Thanked: 1Just to make sure you know those blades aren't new or cosmetically perfect but they are fully functional. Last I heard Larry was a little bit behind on the orders as well

Thanked: 1Also Larry sent out a pretty good handbook to me if you care to have it let me know and I can email it to you. On another side note has there actually been a member meet up in the Philly area? I am relatively new to this website so I can not answer this question but anyone who can it would be much appreciated.
