Balsa strop with CrOx and IrOx
Just curious, to maintain a sharp edge on a razor, how often should this be done? Can it be done too often? The reason I ask is the Dovo I got a couple weeks ago from SRD already appears to be dulling a bit (likely due to me starting to figure out angles, poor stropping, etc). I've been getting a lot more pulling these last couple days to the point that it becomes painful. I've also gotten more nicks/cuts than I did the first couple days I had the razor.
I'd imagine that I can "straighten" the edge a bit with the balsa strop to where my razor is more usable again, but I also don't want to ruin anything or overdue it. Is this something that I can do whenever my razor begins feeling this way?Classic, traditional Barber and owner at Barber's Notch in Brigham City, Utah.
