Thread: ALCOHOLIC RAZOR

Greetings,

After I shave I rinse my razor in hot water, towel it dry and then I use an Alcohol Swab and wipe the blade again. After that I oil the blade and put it away. I just feel the Alcohol Swab drys and cleans the razor. Do you think this is a bit much? Or just plain- no harm, no foul?

Won't hurt anything, but won't help either.

I find a HOT water rinse then a quick wipe with a dry towel or TP will dry the blade completely. (Use a hand lens to look at the edge and you will see the bit of moisture left after the wipe evaporating quickly).

Others simply wipe the blade and leave it out to air dry.

I would say try just wiping the razor with a quality cloth and let it air dry. If you shave every day or so skip the oil. See what happens, probably nothing.
