I should clarify "pasted" from my earlier post on using pasted canvas. I am using a green cro-ox compound bar that I purchase (very inexpensively) from a wholsale jewlery supply in Oakland, CA.

I have used other green compounds that were not as finely graded as this one. This one from the jewlery supply has been excellent for my use as described in my earlier post.

    Thank you Castel33.
Which is the right use of the dovo green paste?
    When should Ι use it?

As for use I use it pretty much like a 4 k stone. I use the dovo paste to do most of my honing. I set the bevel on the blade then go to dovo green and use the same test I would off a stone. Then I go to dovo red and then dovo black. The sharpness off the dovo black is where I like my edge but you could then go to cro ox or fe ox.

The link I posted 4 post above yours goes into detail of how I get my edges shave ready.
