Default My first BBS! But at a cost......

I just got my first bbs shave today by stretching my face and attacking at every which angle that I possibly could! Feels great.....however.....it cost me a few nicks and some razor burn as it took me 4-5 passes in certain areas. On another note- does anyone have a cure for RAD?!

I believe that the only effective treatment, although it provides only temporary relief, is the purchase of another razor. Removing my tongue from my cheek, it is true that buying a "project" razor will minimize the symptoms until some time after you get that one whipped into shape.

Unfortunately, once infected, RAD is permanent. Good luck.

I've not even used mine yet and I'm already looking at vintage british razors. They are just magnificent things.

About what you said in your first post, the "price" of BBS - My honest advice is that it's not always best to try for a BBS shave. I, for example, have really sensitive skin, and if I go ATG I will get razor burn. But, as I've gained more shaving experience, my shaves have gotten better/closer and any irritation has lessened. But I know I can't shave ATG and so I don't try. Can't tell any difference in the closeness of the shave by looking, anyway.
