Actually yes that is quite true Jimmy. The sides and back of the head really are very dense and thick hair. I used to mach 3 my head back in the day, and I can honestly say that I get better head shaves now with a straight than I ever did before. I am pretty sure the other headshaver people would agree with that assessment.

My barber shaves my head once a week with his shavette. I get better shaves with it than I did with a cart back in the day.

I've got a beard of steel on my face, and shave it with my straight, no problem. My head dulls it incredibly.

Are you able to sand furniture with your beard??

I think if your barber couldn't give you a good shave he shouldn't be doing shaves.

    This!

Or should have recognized that you were some freak of nature that sprouts strands of Kevlar rather than facial hair after the first stroke. At that point, he should have stopped and apologized for being unable to help you...then hold the door for you as you leave without being charged....but only after taking a photo of your beard and framing it for the wall.

I would like to inform Endofab that yes, yes I can sand furniture with my beard. I have to go over my chin 4 or 5 times with a straight. Tried ever angle and there is hardly any reduction on each pass. My straight shaves are very mediocre from the jaw line down. I need to shave my neck sideways with the blade vertical. I haven't figured out how to do that yet. But I'm not giving up. 4 passes on my cheeks gives me a DFS shave with a straight. But a Feather blade in a good DE razor cuts through my beard no problem (most DE blades won't, only the sharpest blades work for me).
The tale is doon, and God save al the rowte!
