Are there any decent pre shave oils or products at local pharmacy or grocery store?
About the only thing I lack in my shaving ritual is a pre shave oil. I do have a good ritual of washing my face with goats milk soap, exfoliating with an abrasive Olay product, applying conditioner and then using a hot towel as my brush rests in hot water. I finish off with a cheap after shave balm I found at Walgreens. I need to find a decent pre shave oil that I can pick up at a Target or pharmacy. Can anyone recommend any brands I might be able to find there.

You might want to try Proraso pre and post shave cream. It's generally easy to find.

ccase39,
Judging by the posts, a lot of the shavers here at SRP use simple 'vegetable' oils or oil mixes - e.g. olive oil, jojoba oil, almond oil etc.as pre-shaves
Have fun !
Best regards

Thanked: 3I personally just user some olive oil, jojoba oil and a bit of essential oil for some fragrance. I have been known to just use olive oil slightly watered down though and it works just fine for me.

Thanked: 37I use grapeseed oil mixed with glycerin, but before I used grapeseed oil alone. It works fine.
