Default Wow, first shave with a wedge

Just had a great first shave with an old refurbished W M Bingham and Co. wedge. I have recently started shaving with a Straight and up until now all blades I have used have been full hollow ground. I was impressed with how this new wedge handled my three day growth. I will admit that it was a bit intimidating at first witnessing the blade get down to business, without any "sing" whatsoever. Needless to say I am a fan and happy to have this old gem in my rotation.

Nice, I still remember my first wedge shave. That's why I like this hobby, all of the variables keep it interesting.

I like my 1/4 hollows and my near wedge. Is it just me or is it sort of like using a DE? When I say that I mean, you let the weight of the razor do the job. You know what I mean?

Wedges can be great shavers for sure.
I do prefer more hollowed blades myself though.
The variety of the various grinds does add to keeping this hobby interresting.)
