    Default Panthenol

Hi guys, I've heard that some people don't use it in their products...and others do...

I have no idea what the problem is with it though...could someone enlighten me?

Hmmm, what type of products are you referring to? From what I gather panthenol is used in hair products - shampoo and conditioner - which isn't much of a concern when shaving

FWIW I'm fairly certain none of my shaving products contain it.

I have seen it as an ingredient in some British after shave balms and was wondering if it was ok or bad. What's the "bad" ingredient...parabens or something?

As far as I can see there's nothing really harmful about. It's use in aftershave balms makes sense though, due to its emollient properties. Perhaps one of our resident chemists could elaborate.
