Thread: Spoiling myself

First off a thank you to my friend Mr F from Campbell California for the gift, a shave ready 5/8 round point Double Arrow with blonde scales (I'll post a pic if I remember) thanks bud hopefully see you soon.

So I finally have a rare day off, my girlfriend is away for the day with the kids so I have the house to myself time to spoil myself I ran a bath as hot as can stand, put my fav album on (the levellers levelling the land) and climbed in bliss! About 45 mins later I lathered up in the bath using a cheepo supermarket shave stick (50p I think) and my old synthetic brush and just lay there for 5 mins before washing it off it felt great. I climbed out of the bath and filled the sink and lathered up using my badger brush and Edwin Jagger sandlewood soap got my new Double Arrow and had 3 full passes, finished off with a splash of bay rum.
Could be the best day of the year definatly the best shave of the year so far.

I rang in the new year the same way. Right after midnight I went to my girlfriends after work and brought my equipment with me. I stropped at my house and loaded up my gear. Got in her jacoozi and relaxed for about an hour in HOT WATER. Scrubbed my face with some exfoliating stuff she had from B&BW, got out and enjoyed a hot towel. I rubbed in some Crew pre shave oil on and mixed up an uberlather with glycerin and Truefitt & Hill almond cream and D.R. Harris soap. I went with my 7/8 Fredrick Reynolds I got from Larry at whipped dog and and it took 2 passes for BBS. I finished up with cold water and some Trueffit after shave balm and felt like a champ. Great way to ring in a new year. And no headache in the AM to boot!
