Thanked: 0It's a size thing ...
I've only got 5/8 's and these are fine. However, for one of my next razors I want to try a 6/8.
Is going from 5/8 to 6/8 much of a jump?

nope, You'll enjoy the difference. It's not much of a jump just different.

Not a big deal at all - I find length more of a factor than width.
IMHO, 6/8 is a great combination of width, stiffness and maneuverability and is my favourite size.

Thanked: 346Nope, 6/8 is almost exactly like 5/8. There's not as much difference between the sizes as you might think.

6/8th make me so happy! by far my favorite size. still easy to manipulate and move with the contours of your face yet bit enough to hold lather so you don't have to rinse every stroke and big enough to have weight behind them so they chop thru stubble easily!
now, 7/8th i find that i can tell a big difference in feel and use. its at this point that its noticable and is different

There isn't that much of a difference.
I think that you will enjoy a 6/8
as much if not more.

6/8 razors are nice, not too big yet not too small. Very similar to a 5/8, in fact the grind or who did the honing will make more of a difference to the feel of the shave.

The only time I'd really worry is going 4/8 --> 8/8
