From a purely hygenic point of view, I'd pick up a shavette.
Ministy of Health would go nuts if they caught you using a regular straight ! Besides you wouldnt want to accidentally transmit anything nasty.
For interest sake, where is this event? 'cause I do love a pig roast!

Consider a Parker disposable. Maybe some liability insurance. In 6 months you can learn to shave with a disposable pretty well.
