Well if you can have DE why not fork for a Shavette if you want to keep the Straight Razor Experience. I picked one up strictly for travel purposes.
Shaving with facial hair is like a golfcourse. It's a challenge of rough and fairways. You are the skilled greenskeeper of your face?

I second the shavette. Also many cruise ships have old fashioned barbers and you may be able to get a shave.

I took my straight/strop/soap etc on a cruise ship last year, actually did two cruises off one ship straight on to another and had no problem on either.

G'Day Robert, I just got back from a cruise today and they didn't allow cut-throats on board.

I took my 1956 Gillette flare tip and had enough trouble using it with the rolling of the ship (we were dodging a cyclone).

Hope you have a good time - we did
