I always keep a DE loaded up for just such an emergency. For the last two weeks, I've had a fatboy ready with Gillette yellows. I've used it once. If really really rushed, I lather with my face soap. That's not as bad as it sounds as my face soap is usually a mild moisturizing type. I hate to start my day frazzled.

If I don't shave in the morning, by 3:00 I have a distinct and noticeable light-gray growth that makes me look like an old man, or at least that's how my wife describes it.

Makes you think a little, about shaving of course.
With the exception of weekends at the cabin in the mountains (and I’ve even been shaving there as well since going to an SR), I gave up on the rugged look at work years ago, and left it to the younger breed.

As for women at work; the younger single ones aren't looking at someone my age, and, generally, the older ones aren't worth looking at.
