I will try to post pictures of the stones as soon as I can. Also, i will check the lower grit stones in the classifieds. I have 90 derby blades still so i have plenty of time to learn how to do things right before i run out of blades haha.
Thanx for all the advises!!
This comunity rocks!

Thanked: 0Looks to me like your drawing shows scratches on the hollow and not on the edge. Is that correct? If so, check to make sure your blade isn't lightly rubbing on the scales during opening and closing.

Ha I was in Rotan just a few days ago on vacation, too bad, I could have offered some basic advice if you were anywhere on the island. Funny, small world made even smaller by SRP!
After consulting a map it still would not have been very feasable :-PLast edited by Minnebrew; 01-14-2013 at 07:21 PM.

I agree with 10 pups. A 12k is more of a finishing stone and will smooth out and polish a good edge but it can be damn near impossible to actually put a good edge on it with a 12k. You may have better luck dropping down to an 8k or even 4k and see what happens. The Norton 4k/8k combo is great and would be a nice addition to your stone.

I would think the Norton 4/8k Combo would be what you need to get it right then finish with the 12k you have.
