New S/R Shaver in NYC - Need help!
So I'm a long time D/E shaver, but total beginner S/R Shaver located in NYC. I unfortunately picked up a few vintage razors from ebay/flea markets/etc. before finding this forum and the beginner tips. It wasn't until after buying the razors that I realized the importance and intricacies of honing blades and knowing which blades are worth using. I'm very much a DIY kind of guy, but I think I need more than Youtube videos to figure out how to hone/etc.
Is there anyone in the area who'd be willing to meet with me, check out the razors I have and hone one of them so I can't start figuring out how to use the thing? Wish I had learned about the meetup in time...
I'd be willing to pay beer, food, etc. for your time. I've also got a pretty good selection of TOBS/DR Harris cream/soap from my last London trip that I'd be willing to trade.
