Seeking BBS
I'm a little over a month in Things have been going well. I have been getting passible shaves from day 1 with little to no liquid red. Getting a better handle on the angles and directions I need to go with my whirlybird hair growth. I have a mild but growing case of the various "AD's".
Tonight I acheived BBS over about 85% of my face, with two passes and some touch up. Could I be happy with that? NO...I just had to go after those few stubborn spots that were already shaved better than any cartridge would have done. I didn't cut myself persay, but rather came close to shaving all 5 layers of epidermis off on the right underside of my chin (My heaviest growth area). That is an exaggeration, but it definately drew more slow weaping red than I have seen to this point. A rinse, quick touch with the styptic pencil and a later splash of Dominica Bay Rum and all is well now .
Loving this obsession and waiting for the hair to grow.

Thanked: 1195Honestly, BBS shaves will come in time with practice. Prep, stropping, shaving technique and a properly sharp razor must all come together, and that only happens with experience. In the mean time chasing BBS by shaving repeatedly over the same areas will only cause irritation and blood.
Keep in mind that at only one month in you're still pretty early in the game, so don't feel bad that you're not at peak performance yet.

All of this I know to be true in the most logical intellectual parts of my brain. Then there's the part of my brain that takes over from time to time. It's like being in a car with 500 horsepower and trying not to gun it now and then

Seeking BBS
Been at it almost 2 years now and never had BBS 100%. I have two spots, one swirl on each side of my neck. Not saying you won't get there, or that I won't get there. Just don't worry if it takes a while to master.
It's just corn syrup... Warm, blood flavored, corn syrup ...
