Shave cream
I'm wanting to start adding a bit of shave cream to my normal lather of shave soap. Have found a place (not on the internet, cause I don't want to wait/pay for shipping) that sells The Art of Shaving products: shave cream, pre-shave, and after shave, all in various scents. Any opinion on their shave cream and/or pre-shave oil? Also would be thankful for any advice on finding an alum bar from a real-world brick-and-mortar store.
Just sayin...

Re: Shave cream
I've used both and think both are very good. Some people find the pre shave oil to be too thick. I like it, personally.

Thanked: 247You can get an alum stick at CVS or Walgreens. Not sure if they sell the blocks though. No opinion on AOS stuff. Never tried any of it.

Thanked: 3I use the AOS Unscented products and like them a lot. Oil is a love or hate thing for most people. I personally get a better shave using it. If you're interested in AOS get a starter kit that when I bought included a coupon for full price of starter kit to I used towards full size kit
