Thanked: 1using sprays on the canvas side of a strop
For the "straight razor design 2" red latigo" in the description it says you can use a paste on the canvas side but i was wondering if you could use like a chromium oxide spray on it as well. Thanks for your help guys!

Thanked: 1195You absolutely could, BUT I would highly recommend that you have a separate dedicated strop for pastes/sprays, which should only be used after honing or for touch ups. Once a strop is pasted it is permanently pregnated, so to say.

Thanked: 4I like using a balsa board for chromium oxide instead of having a separate dedicated strop. I think the board does a better job than the sprayed strop and its also cheap. So far it has worked good for me for touch ups. I just received a full set of Naniwas so I think I will start using the 8k/12k/Chrm oxide on balsa for my touch ups going forward.
