Thread: Under the chin against the grain

So I am doing ok so far but I am now having trouble on the skin under my chin to my neck going against the grain. My hair grows from left to right there so against the grain would be from right to left. I can't manage to find a proper grip for the straight and going that direction for some reason makes me nervous. I want to go against the grain on that area because I can't get BSS without doing it.

I had the same problem at first but after shaving for a while I got used to holding it and it became natural. Now I get a nice BBS there. I do however have problems doing ATG on my neck. I cannot imagine this to even be possible.

It's possible. I do it every time I shave. If your beard grows the same way, give it a shot.

I read the thread but don't understand the grip. I need a visual

I guess its just my neck. I cannot get the blade to make contact fully with my neck. I guess I could shave it somewhat but I don't see how I would get the whole thing ATG. I may go back to one of my rounded points and work on it for a while.
