I've been thinking about it for a while now but have yet to progress from the DE to the straight, I've been looking into it again lately and after reading your post I'm more confident that it is the way to go. Thanks for the post I enjoyed reading it

Can you expand on the problem? What makes you think they aren't being sent?

Congrats on the excellent shaves! You definantly came to the right place, as this site has information and experts on ... Well ... Everything? Lol, it's awesome the different aspects of wet shaving people are attracted to. Some are really big into soaps and lather, some razor edges, some giant blades, others strops and stropping. No matter what you are appealed to first, there is someone on here who can help or share your passion.

    Good luck, and have fun!

Another welcome to the forum. I have to agree that it is a pleasant surprise when you can turn a dreaded mundane task that you have to do everyday into and enjoyable experience.

Ldesu, go for it!!!! I mean you only have the rest of your life to regret not giving it a shot. And even if you dont like it you will atleast have a kick arse momento of a straighter razor to hand off to someone. I dont have any son's however if my girls want it, its thiers. I dont think I have ever heard anyone say, "My dad left me this silly razor." I know many ladies that have thier dads razor and it is one of thier most cherish possesions. It will last forever.

My only problem I have been having so far is I have some serious damage in my left wrist and have very limited mobility and shaving XTG and ATG are very difficult with my left hand so I have been shaving both sides with my right hand. And pointers on this as I find stretching the skin a challange?

It took me until 65 to begin the journey on a daily basis, although I had flirted with it every 3-4 years for some four decades. I always gave up because I had no way to learn the intricacies. It was this site that made daily shaving a success for me. Sorry it took so long but better late than never.

Ok. In your "general settings" in the "Private messaging" section, you will see a check box just before the "Visitor messaging" section. The second last check box should be checked.

Step 1. Click on Settings at top right of home page.

Step 2. Third box down on the left hand side titled "My Settings" under the sub-section "My account" you will find "General settings". Click that.

Step 3. Find the main section titled "Private Messaging". The second last check box in that section is the one you want. Check it so that it has a blue dot.

Hope that helps. PM me before you start if you like and I will tell you if I recieved it.

    Mick
