    Default comments on razor

I am eyeballing this razor on ebay. I would like inputs on it from some of you experts. How much should I pay for it, quality, etc. I know that I could buy a razor for 10-15 bucks to start out, but I like the look of this and just want to have it...LOL. I guess you can say that I have "the fever".

That's a beautiful razor. A few points, though:
-It's probably going to go for a nice price. I don't know what these normally fetch, but I'd guess it'll be over $100.
-It probably won't be shave-ready. Most mint razors are sharp but need some minor honing before they're really ready to go.
-It's made of stainless steel, which makes it a little harder to hone. (That's what INOX means.)

That said, good luck. I'd be proud to own a razor that nice.

    Default too much for me!

It sucks that it may go for over $100. I rally think it a sharp (no pun intended) razor. Also, you are correct, it will need to be honed. I asked the seller if he honed it. Oh well, I don't think I will bid much more than $75 for it, but thanks for your thoughts.

I wouldn't even go that high.

    Default question about scales

I have been very busy the last few weeks and have yet to send my gramps' razor of for restoration. I have another question. I have the ability to buy a good sized piece of Elk horn. I am wondering who has the ability to make a set of scales from it and how much it might cost. I will probably just end up having a low cost set of scales put on, but thought I'd ask.
