Thread: Back of the neck.

So I am now wondering about shaving the back of my neck I usually do this between haircuts but am a bit apprehensive about taking the straight to the back of my neck. I often have the wife handle this for me but am a bit leary about letting her near me with an open blade

Hand mirror seems to help quite a bit.

I clean up the back of my neck once a week. It is easier than you think. Give it a try and you will figure out what angles work for you.

In the alternative, you can use a DE to do that as well. It's even easier and faster. I use one or the other, depending on...I don't even know. Good luck.

Jtnaas, I'm still new at this (couple years) but I have shaved the back of my neck. Real scary the first time, and still gets the adreneline flowing. I do it by feel. Thought about the mirror but noticed everything was backwards and backwards again. I just couldn't see what I was doing without jerking my hand the wrong way. Decided to just try it and everything worked out ok. Do it about once per week now. Just downward pass but that seems close enough. The hair back there seems a bit thinner or at least easier to take off. I do use my other hand to feel where the edge of hair grows.

I don't think the mirror will help. I agree everything would be backwards. I will just have to give her a go. My hair is kept rather short out of habit, so I may end up with a crooked neckline. Just have to go back to a high and tight if that happens.

id show her the angle ect , then let her shave a section of yours/or hers leg a couple times ... i havent tried it myself but had some long ones i took off with a DE a bit ago .. that could be another option if you dont wanna use a disposable you could get a DE just for quick clean ups !!
