Thanked: 0Frist shave
Well I just got done with my first shave. I managed a wee bit of razor burn, but I can live with that. No nicks! I did find that I still have a lot of learning to do with my razor (thanks for the amazing razor Obie!), but I know that I will enjoy the process. =D Another thing I noticed was that making lather is a real PITA. Perhaps my water is too hard.
All in all, I'm thoroughly happy learning how to do this and I love this place! Later all!

Excellent and well done! Isn't a nice sharp razor an amazing thing?
Look on youtube for "how to lather" videos. Sometimes it's a simple more water or more soap quick fix.

Thanked: 0Thanks guys! I did watch a few different vids on how to lather. I've tried making batches even when I am not going to shave, but to no avail. Next batch is going to be with distilled water and see what happens. BTW, a nice sharp razor is an amazing thing!
