Thanked: 0True Size of Thiers-Issard Le Dandy?
I am still a newbie at straight razor shaving and am still using a Parker SR1 but want to switch to and try my hand at a traditional straight.
I have quite a few nice ones to begin with anyway but was curious of the actual size of the Thiers-Issard Le Dandy? On a UK website's initial description it states that the Le Dandy is 6/8" but when displaying the pictures it reads as a 5/8"... which is it? I want a 6/8" size in this particular model.
I ask of all the pro's and connoisseurs here what is the true size of the Thiers-Issard Le Dandy?
Thank you very much for your time, consideration and help.
Much regards,

Thanked: 38TI le dandy is available in both sizes. Look for a vendor who has your preferred size AND offers it shave ready. Though recent TIs come shave ready from factory check it.

I have also seen it in 4/8 so be careful. It would certainly be worth an email exchange with the vendor or even a 'phone call.
rs,
TackI have great faith in fools - self confidence my friends call it.

Thanked: 0I received my Le Dandy in the mail today. Bought it from an online retailer that unfortunately does not offer in-house honing. I figured I'd send it out for honing once I got it.
But when I took a look at that gorgeous razor when it came, I had to try shaving with it first. I am very pleased to report that I got a wonderful bbs shave with it right out of the box. The reports about the new TIs being shave ready right from the factory are very definitely true!
