I had exactly the same issues when I started, I could shave my sideburns & cheeks fine, but the razor either skipped over or stuck when doing my chin & below my nose. It was completely beginners technique on my part & time/experience is sorting that out for me. I'm not saying it's not the blade at fault, but after just 2 shaves I wouldn't discard the idea that your technique needs improvement. It took me 2 months before I started to get even vaguely okay with it, & after 4 months straight shaving I can do a good impression of somebody who knows what they're doing, but I've actually got a long way to go before I'd class myself as any good.

Im feeling good about it since i know im not alone with my problems. I am looking forward to getting another razor to try. Most places are out of stock or backed up or too expensive for me rite now. Im not above bartering for a good razor! If someone is willing.

OMG! That sucked. This was about my 5th shave and I was scraping the hair off of my face. I've got to learn how to hone so i dont. Screw up my bldes again. Dont know what the problem is but I will go back to. My 1.2k DMT to reset the bevel and work my way back to the finishing hone. I will have an order in to Whipped dog this week.

Well now, just in case anyone had wondered, my shaving experience has gotten much better since last post. Ebay is a dangerous place sometimes. My last shave was with my restored Dubl Duck Wonderedge, thank you Bob Keys, and a self honed Wade and butcher. Finaly i was able to shave my chin. My cheeks and neck loved the dd but not my chin? W&B did great on my chin. I will call that, lack of experience on my part. Now i must admit that if this becomes a trend, there may be a wonderedge for sale before long. I will try to post pics of restore soon. Thanks for all the encouragement from everyone, i'm still at it. P.S. it drives my wife crazy with me always working on the hone in the mornings. Go figure!

Well I no longer need a box to go with my Wonderedge. It is now up for sale on ebay. My wife has gotten on to me about the amount of money I have spent on this hoby and she wants her share. So this is my atempt to make her happy and get some more money for new toys too.

Sorry to hear that. But I am in the same boat- Wife needs a bit more money for school so I'm having to sell off majority of my collection... Such is life.
