Thanked: 0chromium oxide tips
Hey guys,
I bought some chromium oxide paste. I can't quite remember what the sales person said, but I think they mentioned to put it on a english bridal stropping board. Does this make sense? Any help is appreciated.

Thanked: 1263You can use it on a variety of stropping surfaces from balsa to leather. Some use it on linen or fabric. Personally, I have a cheaper leather paddle strop that I use it on, but to answer your question it is not limited to bridal leather, in fact I wouldn't want to use a nice bridal strop for pastes

English Bridle leather is too nice a material to use pastes on.

Is it a crayon paste or a tub of powder? For the crayon type I just rub it all over a linen strop I have for pastes and strop on that before using clean linen and then leather by themselves. You can also buy Denim staps on Amazon for pastes and make them into your own strop for pastes.
