No, you should not. You should consider it a poor choice. Personally, I don't know much about razors but the fact that I've never heard of it makes me think its a poor choice.

Bonsa
I recently purchased a 1920 Bonsa from ebay (I can look up the seller if you want). The company's name was Bontgen & Sabin of Germany. The "combined" name for marketing was "Bonsa". It is/was from Solingen, Germany. I did look it up for a while, and it seems that this was one of many companies that made straight razors that is no longer in existence. I don't think many made their way to the States as mine was shipped to me from Hungary.
Long story short - the razor seems very good (once I get it honed correctly). Even in a less than perfect condition it shaves pretty well and seems to be of equal (or possibly even higher) quality than a new Dovo I bought. If you can grab one for less than $50, I would say "go for it".

One thing I've noticed is that it seems any razor that was made prior to world war two and from germany seems to be a good shaver.
I think Lynn has said something about this before but I can't recall the exact words.
My understanding is, if you can identify it as made in germany and can figure that it was made before the second world war you can assume it's a good one.
If I'm wrong I'm sure someone will correct me

Thanked: 0thanks guys. I probably should mention that I have "fallen for it"...buying a few bad razors (master, kreiger) before getting a fairly decent one. that's what I get for being overzealous...which I offer as a warning to all other newbies: do your brand homework before going nuts on ebay. The money you waste on crap can be used to get a really good shaver.
again, thanks much for the feedback!
